Hobbs Vineyard is tucked away in the rugged and beautiful ranges of South Australia?s famed Barossa Valley. Planted over a century ago the vineyard produces wines that make a statement in excellence. Our philosophy in making our wines is simple; nurture the vines and concentrate on preserving the complex balance of flavours and acids as the grapes mature. Hobbs Red wines: 1905 Shiraz: Made through traditional wine making craft from our old vines planted in 1905. The Gregor: An ?Amarone style? wine produced by placing hand-picking grapes onto racks and then semi-drying before fermenting. The Tango Shiraz Viognier: Created by co-fermenting Viognier with Shiraz to make a beautifully complex, aromatic ?Rhone style? wine. The Tin Lids: A wonderful example of the traditional Australian blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. A bit of fun with loads of flavour.
